With a passion for pairing creativity and strategic insight to develop impactful public health campaigns, Brittaney brings 15 years of experience in public health, with over a decade of specialized experience successfully collaborating with and consulting federal government agencies (e.g. CDC, NIH, FDA), health departments, disease-focused non-profits, and hospital/healthcare systems develop strategic marketing and communications plans, behavior change and awareness campaign designs, and local community engagement initiatives.
Brittaney coordinated a needle exchange program at Test Positive Aware Network (acquired by Vivent Health) and brings hands-on experience implementing harm reduction strategies in diverse urban settings as a former Americorps member. She’s successfully co-managed day-to-day operations of a community-based syringe services program, ensuring access to sterile injection supplies, overdose prevention education, and safe disposal resources for various high-risk population groups. Her work has been rooted in a client-centered approach that prioritizes dignity and trust-building. In this role, she also co-led outreach initiatives across a wide range of venues—including college campuses, music festivals, and nightlife spaces such as bars and clubs—targeting young adults, and other high-risk hard-to-reach populations. Her ability to engage people in both informal and high-traffic environments allowed her to help reduce stigma, distribute vital health materials, and connect individuals to HIV and HepC testing, treatment referrals, and other wraparound support and resources. Through this work, Brittaney developed strong skills in public engagement, program coordination, health education, and culturally responsive communication—all of which contribute to their effectiveness in supporting public health goals in complex, community-based settings.
