But, also, the power of the individuals, families and communities across America – including a culturally grounded response to the needs of historically underserved audiences and those most impacted by this ongoing crisis. Interested experts and groups can email us. All members go through a vetting process to ensure alignment with our mission, values, and goals.
We’ve onboarded 6 SMEs, launched a webinar series to elevate the national conversation around this pressing issue, and have begun building relationships with states and cities to pitch innovative, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed approaches for prevention, treatment and risk reduction. We’re also publishing a series of white papers to guide state communications in responsible use of opioid settlement funds.
We understand that the opioid misuse and overdose crisis touches all of us in this country and we were compelled to launch the O.U.R Alliance to be a part of the solution. This is an opportunity to empower experts and those with lived experience in an effort to raise awareness and spark change.
We believe storytelling can spark change and inspire action. This alliance is unlike others because it provides an innovative platform for experts, organizations and people with lived experiences with opioid addiction and recovery to help address this epidemic. We believe those closest to the problems develop the best solutions and this is another example of our agency using creativity to drive change in communities.
